Seasoned Pork Meat patties (Pastin Meggio Portioned)
A typical preparation of seasoned pork meat to cook on the grill. The seasoning is delicate and doesn’t cover the characteristic flavor of the meat.
Pastin represents an important tradition of gastronomic culture in the Province of Belluno. It was born in the years when the slaughter of the pig was a moment of celebration, but also of necessity, for the peasant communities who lived in small villages and who based their diet on simple and poor foods.
Pastin is made from pork, with the addition of lard, salt, pepper, spices, wine and various aromas that differ slightly depending on the different production areas.
Serving Suggestion:
Pastin can be consumed either raw or more traditionally cooked on the grill or in a pan; you can eat it in the middle of bread or accompanied by polenta.
