Italian Kiwi
Kiwifruit is made up of about 85% of water, proteins, a low amount of fats, sugar, vitamin C, potassium, sodium, phosphorus, calcium, iron and fibres. Thanks to the high percentage of vitamin C it contains, kiwifruit strengthens the immune systemand prevents colds and flu.
Vitamin C can protect our body from the negative effects of free radicals keeping our teeth and gums healthy. One 100g kiwi contains at least 166% of the recommended daily intake of this valuable vitamin (not less than twice the amount found in oranges).
In addition to these properties, vitamin C can also remove cholesterol from the body and helps to prevent heart attacks and atherosclerosis.
Juice it or blend it into a smoothie. If you want to sip your kiwi instead of bite it, consider the liquid option. Create a green juice using apples, kiwi, spinach, lettuce, and pineapple. Alternately, create a healthful smoothie by blending together:
