Italian eggs’ brand Ovito is much more than just a story: it’s great old family story, carrying a message about life and learning, a great story about change and ways of doing things differently. Ovito represents innovation in organic eggs production and has been the first Italian producer to “sign” each one of his eggs, printing on the shell codes indicating origin and laying date.

Ovito eggs come exclusively from hens kept outdoors and fed with organic feed. Eggs, in order to be labelled as organic, must meet several requirements: the hens can’t be fed crops that are genetically modified, treated with pesticides and herbicides or fertilized with chemicals or synthetic products. Neither they can be treated with hormones, antibiotics or other drugs. Organic eggs are thus guaranteed to be free from any of these potentially harmful chemical residues. Codes printed on the shell, an innovation first introduced by Ovito, make it possible to keep track of every single egg, thus eliminating any ambiguity over its origin or age.
